Social-Brains is an interdisciplinary research group at the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), currently linked to the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs in Philosophy.
A primary goal of the group is to foster research concerned with perception, the cognitive content originating in perception, and attempting to link this content to natural language. A second research line focuses on investigating moral actions and judgments through the lens of the cognitive sciences.
Social-Brains consists of faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and affiliates, from different disciplines and knowledge areas. Its members lead a number of individual or joint research projects.The group’s activities include research seminars, public colloquia with invited speakers, and the organization of conferences and workshops.
